About Dr. Woodson
When Max begins having trouble drinking down fluids and wetting the bed, George and Angie agree to take Max to see Dr.Woodson, his childhood doctor. Upon his examination of Max, he informs George and Angie that , because of the tubes leading to Max's kidneys are in an abnormally top narrow position, causing his urine to be backed up, that he has a kidney infection, and because of the resulting kidney infection, he needed surgery, as he also told them that they were lucky that the infection was caught in time, because if it hadn't been, Max could have contracted kidney disease, and would have needed a kidney specialist.
Anyhow, Dr. Woodson referred the Lopezes to such a specialist, who Dr. Woodson enviously describes as: "Great guy, big house, trophy wife, works half my hours.... People told me to specialize...but what's more special than kids??" ''Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to look into the waxing ears of a screaming 4-year-old!"
A couple of days later, Dr. Woodson drops by the Lopez house to check up on Max, and seys that he'd be fine in a few days, as Benny tries to make a pass at him, "You like making house calls? I have something you might want to look at!" as George says to her "Don't go there, Mom...he's a pediatrician, not a vet!!"
