Barbara Eden (born Barbara Jean Morehead August 23, 1931) guest stars on George Lopez as Ruth a very nice and caring neighbor of the Lopezes who seems to be more focused on "pampering" George than doing the housework which Angie and he hired her for in "George Is Maid To Be Ruth-less" in Season Six (episode #10).
Barbara is perhaps best-known for portraying Jeannie in the 1965-70 NBC-TV sitcom series I Dream of Jeannie. She was nominated twice for Golden Globe Awards for I Dream Of Jeannie, and was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Barbara has also had recurring roles in the series, How to Marry a Millionaire, Harper Valley PTA, A Brand New Life, the CBS-TV nighttime soap opera series Dallas, where she appeared opposite former I Dream Of Jeannie co-star Larry Hagman as Lee Ann De La Vega, a South American entrepreneur and a woman from J.R. Ewing's past who came back for revenge, and ABC-TV's Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Barbara's many film appearances include Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? (1957), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961), The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm (1962), 7 Faces of Dr. Lao (1964), The New Interns (1964), Harper Valley PTA (1978), which inspired the NBC-TV series in she also assumed the starring role, and in a cameo as Jeannie in A Very Brady Sequel in 1996.
